How To Activate Motorola Startac
Hey Everyone!
I've got a 15 year old Motorola StarTac ST7868W phone that I'd like to try and activate, just for the hell of it. It's one of the later model phones, so in addition to the long-gone AMPS network, it also supports 2G digital CDMA 800. It was originally a Verizon phone, but they won't activate it because it is not E911 compatible. About three years ago, I was able to get it going with PagePlus, but I have no idea if they would still support it. I'm pretty sure they piggyback on the Verizon network, which is supposed to still support 2G until the end of 2019. Anyone try and play with an old phone recently?
Thanks!
Joe
